When the kids are home for the summer and not receiving free or reduced-price breakfasts/lunches at school – or if you just need a little extra help with the grocery budget – the Mt. Juliet Help Center can help fill the gap. Each week, families can pick up one box of FREE nonperishable groceries for elementary through high school kids living in west Wilson County. Each box contains about four days’ worth of breakfast, lunch, and snack items including white milk, chocolate milk, 100% juice boxes, cereal, peanut butter, crackers, kids’ canned pastas, raisins, granola bars, ramen noodles, applesauce and fruit cups, mac and cheese, and more! No registration required!
Children can receive one Summer Food Program box per week. Families can choose which time works best for their schedule, and boxes will be available for pickup at the Help Center. Please return empty boxes each time you pick up new ones!
